Stevenage have secured a loan deal with Queens Park Rangers for goalkeeper Murphy Cooper, set to last until the end of the season.

Cooper, 22, has been part of QPR's academy since 2012 and made his league debut for the club in April 2022.

He recently completed a loan spell at Swindon Town, where he made 23 League Two appearances last season.

Cooper played every minute of Swindon's League Two campaign until an injury in December cut his time short.

Manager Alex Revell has wasted no time in utilising Cooper, handing him a debut just an hour after his arrival against Chelsea U21s.

The young goalkeeper made a number of key saves as Stevenage recorded a 1-0 win over the London club.

Stevenage are set to kick off their new league season at home against Shrewsbury next Saturday.
