Manchester United have secured a new addition to their squad with the signing of Sweden international Anna Sandberg.The defender's contract will run until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option for an additional year.
Sandberg arrives from BK Hacken, where she has been playing since July 2022. During her tenure, she gained experience in the Champions League.
On the international stage, Sandberg was part of the Swedish squad that achieved a third-place finish at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Expressing her excitement about the move, Sandberg stated, “I’m very happy and grateful to sign for this big club, Manchester United. I hope I can help our team with my qualities and deliver many winning moments for our fantastic fans.”
Manchester United manager Marc Skinner shared his enthusiasm about the new signing.
“We are delighted to have Anna join our Manchester United family. She is a talented young player, who already has a wealth of international and Champions League experience. We look forward to seeing her develop further in red.”
