League Preview: Finn Harps -v- Bray Wanderers
FINN HARPS
Finn Harps will be seeking to breathe new life into their play-off push on Friday night when they host Bray Wanderers (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Co Donegal side swapped league places with Bray last weekend following their 1-0 loss away to Treaty United and Bray’s 3-1 dismissal of Wexford at the Carlisle Grounds.
But goalkeeper Tim Heimer is not worried by his side’s recent slump that has seen Harps lose their last three games in all competitions in a row.
“We’ve had a little dip, and I'm not using it as an excuse, but we’ve done a lot of travelling the last three weeks,” he told his club’s media team.
“We’ve done Cork twice and then went to Treaty, which obviously doesn’t help. We weren’t happy with our performance, but I don’t think anybody is worried.
“We know what we can do and we’re going to bounce back at home on Friday, and I think everybody is buzzing to be back home too.”
BRAY WANDERERS
Play-off chasing Bray Wanderers travel to Ballybofey on Friday night with a near clean bill of health following the return of defender Evan Osam from injury.
The Seagulls claimed a 3-1 triumph over Wexford last weekend with Peter Grogan and Kieran Cruise on target. Kaylem Harnett also turned into his own net.
Duo Cristian Magerusan and Jamie Duggan are likely to remain out through injury, with striker Thomas Morgan also exiting the club earlier this week.
But Wanderers have added Shamrock Rovers youth John O’Sullivan to their first-team squad after midfielder Freddie Turley left last week.
First-team coaches Lorcan Fitzgerald and Paul Heffernan remain in charge of the side.
Referee: Aaron O’Dowd.
