Blackburn Rovers have signed 19-year-old French forward Exaucé Mafoumbi from FC Nantes on a three-year deal, lasting until June 2027 with an option for an additional year.

This marks Mafoumbi’s first professional contract following a prolific youth career.

Starting with Orvault Racing Club, Mafoumbi moved to Nantes at the Under-11 level in 2015.

Over eight years, he scored 50 goals in 72 youth matches and gained experience in the UEFA Youth League.

He also played a crucial role in Nantes' Under-19 National Championship win in 2022-23, where they defeated PSG in the final.

Initially joining Rovers' emerging talent group, Mafoumbi aims to transition into first-team football.

His signing follows the arrival of fellow forward Yuki Ohashi, further boosting Rovers' offensive lineup.
