Barrow have grown their squad with the addition of Ben Jackson and Neo Eccleston from Huddersfield Town.

Barrow have secured Ben Jackson on a permanent deal. The 23-year-old left-back, who has signed a three-year contract, brings extensive Championship experience with him, having made 45 appearances in England's second tier, 27 of which were last season.

Jackson also has League Two experience from a brief loan spell at Bolton Wanderers, where he scored once in five matches and helped the team secure promotion to League One.

"I’m really excited," Jackson said about his move to Barrow. "It’s a great opportunity to play some games, prove myself, and enjoy football again. Once I heard about the interest, I was quite intrigued myself, and I saw it as a good opportunity to come and play football in a team where the ambition is the get promoted and be in and around the playoffs.."

In addition to Jackson, Barrow have also announced the loan signing of Neo Eccleston until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old right-back recently returned from Huddersfield’s pre-season trip to Austria, where he gained his first taste of first-team action under new manager Michael Duff. Eccleston, who has been part of Huddersfield's B team, earned a new contract last season, extending his stay until 2025.

"“It feels amazing, it feels good to get started, get up here and I can’t wait to make a name for myself," Eccleston said.

"To be fair the Gaffer called me and he seemed really eager to talk to me and get to know me and let me know he really likes how I play, and a really part of coming here is knowing the Gaffer likes me and trusts me."
