Bournemouth have secured the signing of defender Dean Huijsen from Juventus.

The 19-year-old centre-back has committed to a six-year contract, ensuring his stay at Vitality Stadium until at least the summer of 2030.

Huijsen is the Cherries' fourth major signing this summer, joining Alex Paulsen, Daniel Jebbison, and Enes Ünal.

The Amsterdam-born defender spent the latter half of last season on loan at Roma, making 13 appearances and scoring twice.

Huijsen's efforts contributed to Roma's sixth-place finish in Serie A last season. He initially joined Juventus in 2021 from Malaga's youth setup and made his senior debut for the Italian giants in October 2023 against AC Milan.

Internationally, Huijsen represented the Netherlands at youth level, participating in the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship where he scored penalties against France and Poland.

After gaining Spanish citizenship, he was called up to Spain's under-21 squad and made his debut against Belgium in March.
