Doonan is a Pea Again
Peamount United have re-signed their former player, striker Michelle Doonan, from Belfield based DLR Waves.
Doonan left Peamount at the end of 2022 and made her debut for the Waves on the opening weekend of 2023, coming off the bench in a 1-0 defeat to her former teammates.
Since then, Doonan has played in every single one of DLR’s games, scoring 10 times in 40 league and cup appearances.
Doonan has had a positive season so far, despite the Waves’ poor run of results, standing out as one of the club’s most impressive performers.
Peamount will welcome another attacking option in their squad.
The reigning champions have had an up and down start to 2024, currently lying fourth and ten points adrift of leaders Athlone Town, with only one win from their last four league games.
