Stockport County have secured the services of 20-year-old left-back Tayo Adaramola from Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.

Adaramola recently completed a successful loan spell at Belgian side RWD Molenbeek, where he made 14 appearances in the Belgian Pro League.

Born in Dublin, Adaramola began his football journey with St Kevin’s Boys and St Mochta’s in Ireland before joining Crystal Palace's youth academy at the age of 12 in 2015.

He signed his first professional contract with the Premier League club in 2020 and quickly established himself in their U23 team.

In February 2022, Adaramola made his senior debut for Crystal Palace under manager Patrick Vieira in an FA Cup match against Hartlepool United. He later earned a starting spot in a victory over Stoke City in the same competition, a performance that drew praise from Vieira.

Last season, Adaramola helped Palace’s U21s reach the Premier League International Cup final and gained valuable first-team experience during his loan at RWD Molenbeek, despite the team's relegation.

Stockport County’s Manager Dave Challinor expressed his excitement about the new addition: "Tayo’s profile fits our style perfectly. His positive intent and pace will benefit us greatly. He has shown significant growth over the past year, and we’re confident he’ll make a big impact in League 1 and on our team."

Director of Football Simon Wilson acknowledged the competition faced in securing Adaramola: "Tayo is a player we've tracked for some time. His athleticism and speed make him a valuable asset for our squad. We believe he will thrive in our team and thank Crystal Palace for their cooperation."

Adaramola has featured numerous times for the Republic of Ireland at U17, U19 and U21 levels.
