Canadian defender McCleary joins Treaty United as five players depart
Treaty United have announced the signing of Mara McCleary to their Women’s Premier Division team.
The Canadian joins as the Limerick club announce a raft of departures with Talia White, Kayla Kyle, Shauna Pearson, Fiana Bradley and Isabella Flocchini all departing the club.
“Mara comes very highly recommended to us as an all star in a league that players such as Erin Van Dolder and Danielle Steer played in,” Treaty United CEO Ciara McCormack said, speaking to the club’s website
“She also came highly recommended as a person. We’re looking forward to her being another great person and player that our young players can benefit from working with and are excited to see her in action.”
McCleary played four years for the Timberwolves at University of Northern British Columbia and spent the past two year playing for the Victoria Highlanders.
