Derby County have strengthened their squad for the 2024/25 season by signing David Ozoh on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.

Ozoh, an England youth international, made 12 appearances for Palace last season, including nine in the Premier League. He joins as Paul Warne's sixth summer signing, following the arrivals of Ben Osborn, Kayden Jackson, Jerry Yates, Kenzo Goudmijn, and Ebou Adams.

Born in Valencia to Nigerian parents, the 19-year-old midfielder moved to England at a young age and joined Crystal Palace’s Academy at eight years old. He progressed through the youth ranks, signing professional terms in August 2022.

Ozoh’s first significant impact came in the 2021/22 season with the Under-18s, leading to his debut for the senior team in January 2023. At 17, he became Palace's youngest-ever Premier League player during a goalless draw with Newcastle United.

During his time with Palace, Ozoh gained additional experience in the EFL Trophy and impressed in matches against teams like Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers. His performance earned him the Under-21s Player of the Season award for 2022/23.

Internationally, Ozoh has represented England at the Under-18 level, debuting in a 2-1 victory over Croatia in March 2023.
