Swansea City have secured the signing of Lawrence Vigouroux from Burnley.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has inked a two-year contract with an option to extend until 2027. He will don the number 22 jersey for the Swans.

Vigouroux reunites with Swansea head coach Luke Williams, whom he previously worked with at Swindon Town.

He has already joined his new teammates at their pre-season training camp in Austria.

“I worked with Lawrence when he was a young keeper. He has always been brave with the ball,” commented Williams.

“He’s developed into an experienced shot-stopper, and I’m excited to work with him again. This is his opportunity to establish himself as a Championship number one.”

Vigouroux began his career with stints at Brentford, Tottenham, and Liverpool.

A loan spell at Swindon Town in the 2015-16 season saw him make a memorable debut by saving a penalty against Bradford City.

His impressive performances earned him a permanent move to Swindon, where he made 130 appearances and was named Player of the Year in 2017.

In 2018, he had a brief loan stint at Waterford FC, where he made 19 appearances.

The former Chilean U20 international then moved to Everton de Viña del Mar in Chile, but returned to British football with Leyton Orient.

At Orient, Vigouroux helped the team win the League Two title in 2023 and earning multiple individual accolades including the League Two Golden Glove award.

In June 2023, Vigouroux joined Burnley after signing a three-year deal with the club.
