Hull City have secured the signing of right-back Cody Drameh on a three-year contract, with an additional club option for a fourth year.

Drameh, 22, joins the Tigers after leaving Leeds United, bringing significant Championship experience.

He was part of Luton Town's promotion-winning squad in the 2022/23 season and has made 67 appearances in the second tier.

Last season, Drameh spent a season-long loan at Birmingham City, his third loan stint from Elland Road. He previously had successful half-season loans with Cardiff City and Luton Town.

During his time at Cardiff, he made an impact by winning both the Player and Young Player of the Season awards for 2021/22, despite joining in January and providing three assists in 22 matches.

At Luton, Drameh started 19 matches, including all three play-off games, contributing to the club’s historic first promotion to the Premier League under manager Rob Edwards.

Drameh began his career at Fulham's academy before moving to Leeds United in August 2020. At Leeds, he made 10 appearances, including four in the Premier League.

Expressing his excitement about the move, Drameh said, "I’m really happy to be here. It feels like it’s been coming for a bit of time for me."

He added that Hull's ownership and the club's interest played a crucial role in his decision.

"Everyone seemed like they really wanted me. It’s a pleasure to feel wanted and that was something that attracted me," he noted.

Reflecting on his career so far, Drameh mentioned the instability of frequent moves.

"It’s been a bit unstable for me – I’ve been around a lot – so now to finally settle down in Hull, and hopefully do some big things with Hull, is really nice."

Describing his playing style, Drameh said, "I’d say I’m an all-rounder. I like to get up and down, quite energetic, I like defending, one-v-ones and I can add something in attack."

Looking ahead, he stated, "Now it’s finally done, I’m looking forward to getting my head down, getting among the team and working with the coaches. I’m really looking forward to a positive season."
