Millwall have signed 29-year-old goalkeeper Liam Roberts as a free agent, making him the fifth addition to Neil Harris' squad this summer.
Roberts recently played for Middlesbrough and spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Barnsley.
At Barnsley, he made 40 appearances and played a role in helping the team reach the League One Play-Off Semi-Finals with numerous clean sheets.
Roberts started his career with Walsall’s Academy, making his EFL debut against Millwall in February 2016. He had loan stints at Chester and Southport before establishing himself as Walsall’s first-choice goalkeeper for four seasons.
In 2021, Roberts moved to Northampton Town, where he featured in 49 matches and helped the team reach the League Two Play-Off Semi-Finals. His impressive performance led to a transfer to Middlesbrough in the summer of 2022.
