Chelsea sign teenage defender Wiley to long term deal
Chelsea have announced the signing of USA international Caleb Wiley ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
The Blues have signed the teenager to a six year deal with a club option for a further year at Stamford Bridge.
The 19 year old began his career with his hometown club Atlanta United in the MLS and made his senior debut for Atlanta United 2 in 2020.
He made his MLS debut for the club in February 2022 and went on to make over 70 appearances for United.
The left back’s performances earned him a call up to the USA senior national men’s team and he made his debut in a friendly against Mexico in April 2023.
Wiley is part of the USA Men’s Olympic Soccer team and will compete in the Paris Olympic Games for his country.
