The draw for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League third qualifying round has been made today in Switzerland with Shamrock Rovers finding out who they may face in the next rounds.

Premier Division champions Shamrock Rovers will face either Fotbal Club FCSB of Romania (formerly known as Steaua Bucharest) or Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv if they can beat their second qualifying round opponents AC Sparta Praha.

The Hoops play the first leg of their second qualifying round on Tuesday, 23 July before travelling to Prague for the concluding leg on Tuesday, 30 July.

The third qualifying round games will begin on Tuesday, 6 August should Shamrock Rovers progress. The Hoops would be away in the first leg.

If Rovers are eliminated by Sparta Prague next week, they will enter the third qualifying round of the Europa League where either NK Celje of Slovenia or SK Slovan Bratislava of Slovakia will await the League of Ireland champions.

The Hoops would be away first for that tie.
