Bristol Rovers have confirmed the signing of striker Promise Omochere from Fleetwood Town.

The 23-year-old joins on a three-year contract, with an option for a fourth year, making him the eleventh addition to the Rovers squad this summer.

Omochere expressed his enthusiasm about the move. "I’m really excited and happy to be here," he said.

"The club has a lot of ambition and a clear plan that suits my style of play. I can't wait to contribute by scoring goals."

Manager Matt Taylor shared his excitement over the new signing, highlighting Omochere's potential.

"We are delighted to welcome Promise to Bristol Rovers," Taylor stated.

"He has shown his attacking abilities over the last two seasons in League One and has plenty of room to grow. Promise will bring balance and competition to our forward line."

Omochere, born in Dublin, began his career at St Joseph's Boys and University College Dublin before joining Bohemians in 2018.

He quickly made an impact, debuting in a 3-1 win against St Patrick's Athletic and scoring his first league goal in a 5-1 victory over Dundalk in 2021.

His performance at Bohemians, where he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 55 appearances, earned him a move to Fleetwood Town in 2022.

Taylor emphasised the strategic value of Omochere’s signing, noting, "Promise will provide an important addition to our forward line, and we look forward to working with him."
