Galway United have bolstered their goalkeeping department with the capture of Jack Brady from Longford Town.

The experienced netminder is a native of Killaloe Co Clare and began his League of Ireland journey at Shelbourne almost a decade ago.

He has since gone on to represent Longford Town (twice), Limerick and Treaty United in a career which has spanned over a century of appearances.

He spoke to his new club’s media about the new challenge ahead of him,

"To be given the opportunity to work in a full-time capacity and really work on myself and to make myself an even better player is all I ever wanted to do in my career.”

“I’m 27 now, and to get the opportunity to come into a full-time setup is a privilege.”

“What you’re getting with me is a great attitude, and I will always push myself. The opportunity to be here is massive, and I’m going to grab it with both hands. I’m really excited.”
