St Patrick’s Athletic have announced the signing of Zach Elbouzedi from Swedish outfit AIK on a multi year deal.

The third new arrival at Richmond Park this summer, former Republic of Ireland U21 international Elbouzedi has previous experience in the League of Ireland having starred with Waterford FC ahead of a return to the UK with Lincoln City in January 2020 before heading to Sweden.

A native of Swords, the 26 year old joined West Bromwich Albion’s Academy from Malahide United in 2014. Three years later he moved to Inverness Caledonian Thistle ahead of his move to the RSC.

Speaking to club media about the move, the winger said,

"I'm delighted. I've played here at Richmond Park before when I was at Waterford, it's a massive club and with Stephen (Kenny) being here too was a massive factor in me coming to Pat's, I think it's an exciting time to be here.

I played some of the best football of my career under Stephen (with Ireland U21s), the style of football he plays and the confidence that he instills in you as a player is something I really enjoyed so I'm looking forward to getting going now and working under him again."
