Tottenham Hotspur sign defender Ella Morris

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of England youth international defender Ella Morris.

The 21-year-old joins the club on a contract running until 2027, following the expiration of her contract with Southampton.

Morris began her journey with Southampton at the age of 14, progressing through their academy before being promoted to the first team during the 2018/19 season.

She was recognised for her performances by being named both Southampton's Women’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.

In May 2022, Morris played a key role in helping Southampton achieve promotion to the FA Women’s Championship for the first time in the club’s history.

Last season, she made 23 appearances, contributing to the team's best-ever finish in England’s second tier with a fourth-place standing.

Since her senior debut at 17, Morris has accumulated 117 appearances and scored 14 goals for Southampton.

On the international stage, Morris has represented England across various youth levels, most recently with the Under-23s.
