Manchester United have announced that Jonny Evans has signed a contract extension with the club which will keep the defender at Old Trafford until June 2025.

“To play for this great club and feel the support from our incredible fans is always a privilege,” Evans said, speaking to the club’s website.

“Returning to the club last season was an honour; representing the team on the pitch alongside fantastic team-mates under an excellent manager.

“Winning the FA Cup together was an unforgettable experience; I know we can challenge for more trophies in the season ahead.”

Evans is a Manchester United Academy graduate, he returned to the club after eight years playing with West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.

The Northern Ireland international played 30 times last season and came off the bench as United claimed the FA Cup at Wembley.
