Luton Town has seen the departure of Gabriel Osho to Auxerre and the signing of Reuell Walters from Arsenal.

Defender Gabriel Osho has signed with French Ligue 1 side Auxerre on a one-year deal, with an option to extend for two more years.

Osho, who will wear the number 3 shirt, leaves Luton after four seasons, having made 85 appearances and playing a crucial role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2022-2023.

Osho, 25, started his career in Reading and established himself as a solid central defender in the Championship.

He scored in the play-off semi-final, contributing to Luton’s historic rise. Last season, he played 21 Premier League games and was called up to the Nigerian national team in March, though injury prevented his debut.

Luton manager Rob Edwards expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’d like to thank Gabe for what he did for this football club and wish him nothing but success. He will always be welcomed back.”

In contrast, Luton have strengthened their squad by signing 19-year-old defender Reuell Walters from Arsenal.

Walters, an England youth international, has played for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal academies, signing professional terms with Arsenal in 2022.

Despite featuring regularly in Arsenal’s academy and making the bench for Premier League games, Walters sought regular first-team football, choosing Luton over a new deal with the Gunners.

Manager Rob Edwards highlighted Walters’ potential: “Reuell is a dynamic, quick, talented young player. He had options but chose us for the pathway we offer. He can play multiple positions and could make an impact this season.”

Walters, excited about the move, said, “I resonate with the club’s beliefs and style of play. I know a few familiar faces here, which helps. My goal is to work hard, improve the team, and gain first-team experience in the Championship.”
