Swindon Town have signed defender Grant Hall and young midfielder Dylan Mitchell while confirming the departure of Williams Kokolo.

Swindon Town have secured the services of experienced defender Grant Hall on a permanent deal.

Hall, who had a previous loan stint with Swindon during the 2013-2014 season, returns to the club after a long career in the Championship and League One.

The 32-year-old defender, who has played for clubs such as Queens Park Rangers, Middlesbrough, and Rotherham United, brings a wealth of experience.

Hall was recognised as the Supporter’s Player of the Year during his first season at QPR, where he made 199 appearances over five years and served as captain.

Hall expressed his enthusiasm for joining Swindon: "I'm glad to get it over the line. After leaving Rotherham, I wanted to sort something quickly to join pre-season and set the foundation for the start of the season. I had a conversation with Mark Kennedy before signing, and his aspirations for the club aligned with mine."

In addition to Hall, Swindon Town have signed 18-year-old midfielder Dylan Mitchell from Aston Villa.

Mitchell, who spent his youth career at Villa, joins Town after a successful loan spell at Alvechurch.

Jamie Russell expressed excitement about Mitchell’s potential: "We are delighted that Dylan has joined us following stiff competition from other teams in the league. He has had an exceptional footballing education with Aston Villa and has shown promise during his loan at Alvechurch. We look forward to seeing him develop and become a part of Town's footballing future."

Swindon Town have announced the departure of Williams Kokolo, who leaves the club by mutual consent.

Kokolo made 28 league appearances since joining in November 2023, scoring twice and providing two assists. The full-back has decided to return to France for family reasons.

Jamie Russell, Head of Football, commented on Kokolo’s departure: "Williams is a player we were keen to work with for the upcoming season, but unfortunately, due to family reasons, he departs with our best wishes. Everybody at Swindon wishes Williams and his family the very best in the future."
