Brighton sign promising winger Amario Cozier-Duberry from Arsenal
Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the signing of Amario Cozier-Duberry on a contract until 2028.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder joins from Arsenal, where he has been since 2019.
Last season, Cozier-Duberry scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 24 appearances for Arsenal’s under-21 team.
He was also an unused substitute in first-team matches against Brentford in the Carabao Cup and Sevilla in the Champions League.
Brighton's technical director, David Weir, expressed his excitement about the new signing.
“We’re really pleased to be able to bring Amario to the club,” Weir said. “He’s got attributes we like and we believe he is a player who can flourish in our environment. We’re looking forward to working with him and helping his career to progress.”
Cozier-Duberry, born in London, has represented England at various youth levels, from under-16s to under-19s.
He began his football journey with Chettle Court Rangers before moving to Arsenal’s academy.
At Arsenal, he had notable performances in youth competitions, including scoring five goals and providing three assists in the 2023 FA Youth Cup, despite the team losing to West Ham in the final.
