Ceola Bergin capped off an impressive June by being named the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month.

The Wexford forward scored in two of the three league games, adding another in the All-Ireland Cup game, cementing her place in the starting line-up and earning a spot in the Ireland Women's Under-19 squad for the upcoming UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championships.

Bergin played a crucial role in Wexford's victories over Galway United, DLR Waves, and Cork City in June.

Her consistent goal-scoring ensured the team continued their ascent up the league table.

Reflecting on her achievement, it is unsurprising that the 17-year-old topped the voting, beating out Athlone Town's Jesi Rossman and Shelbourne's Noelle Murray, given her outstanding recent form.

Bergin is the 10th different Player of the Month winner to represent Wexford in the league since 2011, with the club claiming the award on 14 occasions overall.

The 2024 SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month winners so far are:

March: Julie-Ann Russell (Galway United)

April: Casey Howe (Athlone Town)

May: Ellen Dolan (Peamount United)

June: Ceola Bergin (Wexford)
