Manchester United sign Dutch international Janssen
Manchester United have announced the signing of Dutch international defender Dominique Janssen on a contract that runs until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option for an additional year.
Janssen returns to the Women's Super League after a successful stint with German side VfL Wolfsburg, where she won the Frauen Bundesliga twice and the DFB-Pokal three times.
Previously, she played for Arsenal, where she won the league title, League Cup, and FA Cup.
"I'm delighted to be at such a big club like Manchester United," Janssen told Manchester United's official website.
"Signing here is a really proud moment for me, and I cannot wait to now return to the English league and create new winning moments with this talented Manchester United team."
On the international stage, Janssen was part of the Dutch team that won the European Championship in 2017, defeating Denmark 4-2 in the final.
Manchester United manager Marc Skinner praised the new signing, stating, "Dominique is a proven winner, both domestically and internationally. Her winning mentality is an important addition to our team, and her notable playing experience will enhance our entire dressing room. We are delighted to welcome Dominique into our Manchester United family."
