Cambridge United have announced the loan signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Vicente Reyes for the 2024/25 season. Reyes joins from Norwich City, where he arrived last summer from Atlanta United.

In his first year with Norwich, Reyes spent time on loan at Braintree Town and Forest Green Rovers. His performances at Forest Green earned him Player of the Month honours for April.

Reyes has represented Chile at U17, U20, and U23 levels and has recently been involved with the first team. He was part of the pre-Olympic Tournament squad and named in the preliminary squad for the Copa America.

“I am really excited to join the club,” Reyes said.

“It’s another big step forward in my development as a player and I hope to help the team in any way that I can. The vision of the manager and the club is really impressive and I can’t wait to be a part of it this upcoming season.”

Cambridge United manager Garry Monk expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition: “Vicente is an extremely talented goalkeeper and I am delighted that he has joined us for the upcoming season. He arrives with great ambition and will make the squad as competitive as possible.”
