Crawley Town have secured the signing of centre-back Josh Flint on a two-year deal from FC Volendam, while goalkeeper Corey Addai departs for Stockport County.

Josh Flint, 23, joins Crawley after his contract with FC Volendam expired.

The former Portsmouth Academy product made 28 appearances for the Eredivisie side last season.

Flint is eager to begin his journey with the Red Devils. “I am delighted to get the deal over the line,” he said. “I was really impressed when I watched the play-off final, and this seems to be a really great club to be at.”

Meanwhile, Corey Addai, who played a crucial role in Crawley’s promotion-winning season, has signed a three-year contract with Stockport County, with an option for an additional year.

Addai kept ten clean sheets in 45 appearances last season and was instrumental in Crawley's play-off success, including a semi-final penalty save and a clean sheet in the final against Crewe.

Addai began his career in Arsenal’s academy before moving to Coventry City in 2014. He had several loan spells in non-league football and brief stints at Barnsley and Danish side Esbjerg fB.

Since joining Crawley in 2022, he made 89 appearances and earned the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award for February.

Stockport County’s First-Team Manager, Dave Challinor, praised Addai's abilities, stating, “Corey’s profile is one that we feel will enhance not only the already brilliant goalkeeping group we have at the club but also the team. Statistically, he was the best goalkeeper in League Two last season.”

Nick Colgan, Head of Goalkeeping at Stockport, expressed his excitement about Addai’s arrival.

“Firstly, I would like to congratulate Corey on a fantastic season with Crawley, culminating in the play-off final win at Wembley. His stats from last season speak for themselves, and we moved swiftly to secure his services.”
