Nottingham Forest sign New Zealand international on five-year deal
Nottingham Forest have signed 22-year-old Marko Stamenić from Red Star Belgrade on a five-year contract. Stamenić will spend the upcoming 2024/25 season on loan at Olympiacos.
The midfielder has gained significant experience playing in Denmark and Serbia’s top divisions with Copenhagen and Red Star. He made 23 senior appearances for Copenhagen, contributing to their Danish Cup victory in his final season there.
Last season, Stamenić played 35 matches for Red Star, including four in the UEFA Champions League. His efforts were instrumental in Red Star winning both the Serbian SuperLiga and Serbian Cup.
On the international stage, Stamenić has been capped 15 times for New Zealand.
