Steven Fletcher re-signs with Wrexham AFC for 2024/25 season
Wrexham AFC striker Steven Fletcher has committed to the club for another year, signing a new contract for the 2024/25 season.
Fletcher, 37, joined Wrexham as a free agent last September. The former Scotland international proved instrumental in Wrexham’s promotion to Sky Bet League One, scoring eight goals in 34 matches.
His key performances included a stoppage-time equaliser against Crewe Alexandra and a crucial late goal in a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Salford City.
Fletcher also marked his 400th career EFL appearance with a hat-trick in Wrexham’s 4-1 win over Barrow.
“I’m delighted to have signed another year, and I’m really looking forward to the season ahead,” Fletcher said.
Manager Phil Parkinson highlighted Fletcher’s importance to the team, both on and off the pitch.
“We’re pleased Steven has re-signed. He played a key role last season, and we look forward to working with him again in our League One campaign,” Parkinson said.
