Women’s FAI Cup Draw: league leaders Galway United drawn against second-placed Shelbourne

Women’s Premier Division leaders Galway United will face Shelbourne in the first round of the Women’s FAI Cup. 

The Tribeswomen are currently top of the pile after a stunning start to the season at Eamonn Deacy Park. 

But they face last season’s runners up Shelbourne. 

DLR Waves will host Whitehall Rangers at the UCD Bowl, while Treaty United are due to meet Ferns United. 

Bohemians will face Peamount United, with Shamrock Rovers set to play against Wexford. 

Sligo Rovers will host Terenure Rangers with an all-Cork showdown between Cork City and junior side Douglas Hall to take place. Ties are due to take place on the week ending August 4. 

Champions Athlone Town will have a bye to take their place in the quarter-finals.
