Gillingham have secured their second signing of the summer, bringing in midfielder Armani Little. The 27-year-old joins the Gills after turning down a new offer from AFC Wimbledon.

Little scored four times in 44 appearances across all competitions last season. He began his career in the Southampton academy, making his senior debut for the U21 team in an EFL Trophy match against Peterborough in August 2017. Little also had a loan spell at Woking, scoring against Oxford City during the 2018-19 season.

In 2019, Little signed a permanent deal with Torquay, making 89 appearances and scoring 19 goals over three years. He then joined Forest Green in 2022 and later moved to AFC Wimbledon on loan in January 2023, a move that became permanent in July.

Gillingham manager Mark Bonner expressed his excitement about the signing, saying, "Armani is an excellent addition to our midfield. A tenacious, all-energy player who plays with personality. He will give us good balance and handles the ball well with a good passing range. He has a character that everyone will warm to and will help us become the team we want to be."

Little shared his enthusiasm as well, stating, "I am really pleased to be here and can't wait to get going. I like to get on the ball and hopefully I can add a few goals."

Bonner made his first signing earlier in the week as Gills Manager by bringing in striker Elliott Nevitt from Crewe Alexandra.

Gillingham have also confirmed Mark Bonner's coaching staff for the upcoming season. Anthony Hayes will join as Assistant Manager, while Peter Gill takes on the role of First-Team Coach. Hayes leaves Sunderland, and Gill departs from Charlton Athletic.

This completes Bonner's coaching team ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League 2 season, with Deren Ibrahim continuing as Goalkeeping Coach.
