Fortuna Düsseldorf sign Christos Tzolis on permanent deal from Norwich City

Fortuna Düsseldorf have activated the buy option for Christos Tzolis following his successful loan spell. The Greece international will officially join the German club on 1 July 2024.

Tzolis, 22, spent the 2023/24 season with Fortuna, helping them reach the promotion play-off, where they were narrowly defeated by VfL Bochum.

During his time at Düsseldorf, he made a significant impact, scoring 24 goals and providing ten assists in 37 competitive matches.

Fortuna’s Board Member for Sport & Communication, Klaus Allofs, confirmed the permanent transfer.

"We have exercised the agreed purchase option for Christos Tzolis at Norwich City. This is a good moment for Fortuna." Allofs said. 

Tzolis originally joined Norwich City from PAOK in 2021, making 30 appearances and scoring three goals. He also spent the first half of the 2022/23 season on loan at FC Twente in the Eredivisie.
