Swindon Town sign midfielder Ollie Clarke on permanent deal
Swindon Town have announced the signing of midfielder Ollie Clarke on a permanent deal.
Clarke, 31, began his career with Bristol Rovers in 2009, making over 200 appearances and scoring more than 20 goals during his 11 years at the club.
He achieved back-to-back promotions with Rovers, moving up from the Conference via the play-offs in 2015 and reaching the third tier the following season.
During his tenure at Bristol Rovers, Clarke also served as the club’s captain and was voted Player of the Year in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
Following his time at Bristol Rovers, Clarke moved to Mansfield Town. He achieved another promotion with The Stags last season and was appointed captain during his time there.
Ollie Clarke becomes Swindon Town's first signing of the 2024-25 summer transfer window. This signing comes days after Swindon Town appointed Mark Kennedy as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
