Wayside Celtic ran out 4-2 winners over Home Farm to relegate the Whitehall side, and boost their own prospects of top-flight survival.

Ross Zambra’s FAI Intermediate Cup semi-finalists recently secured their passage into the second-round of the FAI Cup proper, but securing their status in the LSL Senior Sunday is the priority for now.

And they gave themselves a great opportunity to do just that with a convincing win over Home Farm.

Darragh O’Connor and Dylan O’Connor scored a brace each to give Zambra’s side a much-needed win, while Shane Lyons scored twice for John Hand’s relegated side.

Meanwhile, Killester-Donnycarney ran out thumping 5-0 victors over Bluebell United.

The Hadden Park outfit eased to three points at Capco Park, with Rob Dunne scoring a brace to send them on their way.

Sean Rogers, Ronan Kilkenny and Alex Connolly also got in on the act.

Elsewhere in the battle for survival, Crumlin United and Maynooth University Town drew 0-0.

That means Tolka Rovers sit 13th on 27 points, level on points with Crumlin United who have played a game more than them.

Wayside are 10th on 28 points with two games remaining, while Killester Donnycarney and Maynooth University are on 30 points in 9th and 10th respectively.

Champions-elect Lucan United are just one point away from winning the title.

Their recent 4-1 success over Home Farm all but clinched it, with Keith Baker’s side claiming the Charlie Cahill Cup on Friday night.

They saw off title rivals St Mochta’s 2-1 after extra-time to win the trophy at Frank Cooke Park.

Meanwhile, Usher Celtic, UCD and Glebe North have all won promotion to the top-flight for next season after sealing their place in the top three of Senior Sunday 1.

Biut Sacred Heart Firhouse Clover, Swords Celtic and Glenville have all dropped to the third tier - with Greystones United and Edenderry Town staying up at their expense.

Inchicore Athletic, Finglas United and Collinstown have all been promoted from Senior 1A.

MP FC, Hartstown Huntstown and St Paul's Artane have also secured promotion from Senior 1B.
