Kenny hoping to build on point
Stephen Kenny's side were unable to break down a well organised Bohemians defence on Friday night - despite being the slightly better side. The point means Derry remain in third place.
Following their win over St Pat's at Richmond Park at the beginning of April the Candystripes went to the top of the table. A few days later in the Setanta Cup they again got the better of the Inchicore side - but since then they have stalled somewhat.
They are now without a win from their last four games in all competitions - although it should be pointed out that three of those games were away from home. A draw with Sligo at the Brandywell was followed by a draw at The Oval and then a defeat last week in Bray.
Kenny was happy enough with his sides performance against Bohemians and when asked by extratime.ie if he was happy with a point, he said, "It only becomes a good point if we go and win the home game against Galway next week. We played very well tonight and passed the ball really well, maybe we could have created more chances but we had a couple of very good chances"
The ex-Dunfermline manager isn't too concerned about the recent lack of goals - "Its one of those things - we haven't scored in the last couple of weeks but we have been playing quite well and that's important"
Three of Derry's next four league games are at home and Kenny is confident that his side can get back to scoring goals and winning games.
Derry play host to Galway United this Friday at 19.45
