League Preview: Bohemians -v- Galway United
BOHEMIANS
Bohemians will be looking to build on Friday’s draw against Shamrock Rovers when they host Galway United at Dalymount Park on Monday evening (kick-off is at 5pm).
The Gypsies have impressed under new boss Alan Reynolds and already defeated the Tribesmen this season at Eamonn Deacy Park
But Reynolds said: “Galway have shown what a difficult side they are this season and they have caught out a lot of teams this year.
“No result against Galway this season will come easily. We had to work extremely hard to beat them last month and we will need to be even better to do so again.
“We played well on Friday but if we want to build on that we need to improve further. We’ll obviously freshen up the team with the game coming so soon after Friday.
“But anyone who takes to the pitch will know that if they don’t work hard enough against this Galway side, they will frustrate and punish you.”
Brian McManus is ruled out after being forced off injured on Friday, while Jordan Flores, Filip Piszczek and Luke Matheson are doubts. Rob Cornwall and Keith Buckley remain out.
GALWAY UNITED
Galway United too come into Monday’s clash following a spirited draw against a title chasing side in Derry City.
And the Tribes have caught the eye this season with a water-tight defensive record.
But they have a lot to do against Bohs according to their assistant manager Ollie Horgan.
“It probably is as we expected it to be but we need to kick on and try to improve. It will be difficult with the turnaround to play Bohemians on Monday at Dalymount Park,” he told Galway Bay FM.
“They wiped the floor with us earlier this season. It was one of the only times this season where “There has been a gap - apart from the Shamrock Rovers game that we bridged. But we didn’t bridge the gap against Bohs at home. We need to be on it.
