League Preview: Athlone Town -v- Cobh Ramblers
ATHLONE TOWN
Athlone Town will be looking to build on last weekend’s win over Kerry when they host Cobh Ramblers at the Athlone Town Stadium (kick-off is at 7.45pm).
The Co Westmeath side currently sit in sixth place on 15 points - and they are just behind fourth placed Bray Wanderers on goal difference.
But they had a scare last weekend against Kerry, narrowly winning 2-1 at Mounthawk Park.
“We had a great performance,” Castelo told Midlands 103fm. “In all of the key moments in the game, we tried to play compactly.
“We know that Kerry has a great desire and we fought that with some very good moments on the ball.
“I think we deserved to win the game.”
Dylan Hand is suspended for tonight’s game.
COBH RAMBLERS
Cobh Ramblers boss Gary Hunt is keen for his side to stay in touch with the playoff positions this weekend when they visit Athlone Town.
Ramblers won against Finn Harps last weekend and will be hoping that they can build on their strong performance last weekend.
Goals from Matthew McKevitt and David Bosnjak saw them past the Co Donegal side.
And they are now just five points behind fifth placed Wexford.
Referee: Daryl Carolan.
