LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Lucan United stretch lead at the summit as St Mochta’s record victory
Lucan United stretched their advantage at the top of the table to seven points following a five-star display against Malahide United.
Keith Baker’s side are on course to claim the title - and they were helped in no small part by Marco Chindea’s brace.
Jamie Doyle, Aji Sule and Luke Walsh were also on target against Malahide.
Lucan have now won four games on the spin and are unbeaten since January when they lost at home to Maynooth University Town in a run that spans six games.
Huge result today in the league. Best of luck to @MalahideUtdAFC for the rest of the season. #lslpic.twitter.com/enfz5HKQxB

Reigning champions St Mochta’s also recorded a pivotal win over North Dublin rivals Killester Donnycarney.
Brian McCarthy’s men claimed a 2-0 victory with Gareth McCaffrey and Daragh Owens scoring.
And they have now moved level on points with second-placed St Francis as a result of the Baldonnel side’s scoreless draw against Bangor Celtic.

Meanwhile, Maynooth University Town romped to a 3-0 success over Bluebell United.
Former Longford Town striker Callum Warfield scored twice - with one goal coming from the spot - as Aaron Doran also netted.
Shane Harte’s side remain 13th but have five games in hand on 10th placed Home Farm, who they trail by two points.
Farm, however, were beaten 3-1 on Friday night by Kilbarrack United.
Striker Deiric Hyland was on target for Ross Carrig’s troops as Tobi Jinadu and Gavin Carroll also scored. Michael Keyes netted a consolation for the Farm.

Meanwhile, FAI Intermediate Cup semi-finalists Wayside Celtic boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 win over Crumlin United.
Former Wexford and Bray Wanderers winger Paul Fox scored for Crumlin.
But Dylan O’Connor’s injury-time winner claimed all three points for Ross Zambra’s side after Darragh O’Connor netted earlier on.
And it was a boost for the Dublin 18 side who lost 2-1 to Malahide United a few days before.
Ciaran McGahan fired in a brace for Malahide after Darragh O’Connor scored for Wayside.
