Ireland international Shane Duffy returns to training after injury
Norwich City Head Coach David Wagner has confirmed that Republic of Ireland international Shane Duffy has returned to full training after injury.
Duffy last featured for the Canaries on 3 February against Coventry City but has been absent for almost two months due to injury which meant he wasn’t available for the latest international fixtures with Ireland facing Belgium and Switzerland this month.
The defender is now available for selection for his club and could face former Dundalk and Galway United manager Ian Foster this weekend, the coach is currently in charge of Plymouth Argyle.
"Luckily, everyone came back healthy from the internationals. Duffy is back in training since Monday, so it looks like the same squad plus him," Wagner said, speaking to the club’s website.
If Duffy can stay fit he could be in line for a recall to the Ireland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Hungary and Portugal which are scheduled for this June.
The 32 year old has played 60 times for Ireland and last featured against New Zealand in November 2023.
