Middlesborough unveil plans for new crest

Middlesborough have announced plans to introduce a new crest to celebrate the club’s upcoming 150th anniversary.
“We’re excited to announce our intentions as we approach a significant milestone in Middlesbrough FC’s history,” Middlesborough Chief Commercial Officer Lee Fryett said.
“Any crest that is adopted must represent that proud history and what the club means to our supporters, as well as our vision for the future. We’re looking forward to working closely with the fans throughout the process.”
In a statement the club have committed to engaging with supporters closely in the process to design a new crest.
The current Middlesborough crest has been in use since 2007.
