Chukwuemeka returns to Chelsea after leaving international squad early

Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka has returned from international duty early.
The midfielder was called up to the England under-21 squad for their games against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg – his first call up to the side.
He wasn’t used during the Azerbaijan game and will now miss the Luxembourg game as he has returned to his club.
A statement from the club said: “Chukwuemeka returns early to work on his fitness at Cobham, as he looks to play a key role in the remainder of the season for Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues look for a strong end to the campaign.”
