Ireland squad update: Derry City’s Brian Maher to train with Ireland this week - Scales and Parrott ruled out
Celtic defender Liam Scales and Excelsior striker Troy Parrott will miss the upcoming Republic of Ireland international friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland due to injury.
Interim Ireland boss John O'Shea has decided not to call any replacements. Under-21 players Joe Hodge and Andrew Moran will come into the senior squad after the U21 qualifier against San Marino on Friday.
Meanwhile Derry City goalkeeper Brian Maher will train with the Ireland squad this week working with Gavin Bazunu, Caoimhin Kelleher and Mark Travers.
