WATCH: Wexford’s Jayne Merren pulls off stunning save to deny her former club a winning goal

Wexford travelled to Tallaght Stadium to face Shamrock Rovers on Saturday and they went in search of their first points having suffered defeat on the opening day of the season.

The visitors to Dublin took the lead through Kylie Murphy in the first half but Scarlett Herron struck in the second half to level the side at 1-1.

Jayne Merren was tested by Aine O’Gorman as the game progressed and the goalkeeper answered the call in stunning fashion to keep the side level as Wexford and the Hoops shared the points.

The goalkeeper is a new arrival at Wexford this season having signed from Shamrock Rovers during the off-season.
