Longford Town -v- Treaty United postponed after pitch inspection
The game between Longford Town and Treat United has been postponed after a 2pm pitch inspection.
The sides were due to kick-off at 7.30pm but due to heavy rain the game will be rescheduled to a later date..
With the game postponed it means more fixture chaos for De Town after two of their previous games have already been postponed at this early stage of the season – albeit those were both away fixtures.
They were due to play Wexford away on Friday, 23 February but that game was postponed until Tuesday, 16 April.
Longford were also due to travel to face Bray Wanderers on Friday, 1 March but that fixture will now take place on Monday, 25 March.
Those postponements leave Longford with just two games played compared to five for the likes of Cork City.
Tonight’s SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division fixture between Longford Town and Treaty United has been postponed after the pitch failed its pitch inspection at Bishopsgate amid heavy rainfall.
