UEFA have confirmed the dates for Ireland’s 2025 UEFA Women's European Championship qualifiers with the FAI booking in two of those fixtures for the Aviva Stadium.

"It is fantastic to have the opportunity to bring our fans back to the Aviva Stadium again,” said Eileen Gleeson who was in charge of the Girls in Green when they beat Northern Ireland 3-0 in front of 35,994 spectators late last year in the Nations League.

“Hopefully we can attract many more new fans with the visit of England in April and Sweden in May. The support of our fans means so much to us and we are hoping to set new attendance records for both of these games.”

The Republic of Ireland will begin their qualifying quest for the EUROs, set for Switzerland next year, with an away trip to France on Friday, April 5th before returning to Dublin to host England at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, April 9th.

Next up Gleeson’s side will host Sweden at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, May 31st ahead of travelling away to take on the same opponent on Tuesday, June 4th. The Swedes have yet to confirm the venue but Ireland played in Gothenburg in the qualification for the last World Cup (drawing 1-1).

Ireland will travel to England on Friday July 12th and with the Aviva Stadium unavailable in July, Ireland will finish their Group qualifiers against France on Tuesday, July 16th in a venue that will be confirmed soon – but is expected to be Tallaght Stadium (as Shamrock Rovers are away that day).
