St. Patrick’s Athletic announce American investment in club
The Saints released a statement about its new strategic investors on Tuesday evening.
St. Patrick’s Athletic have announced that Kenosis Sports Group have become 'strategic investors' in the club.
The Kenosis Sports Group are a subsidiary of Kenosis Capital. Founded in 1905, the financial advisory and private investment firm are based in Wyoming and New York with offices in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
One of the investors is Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, who has made the headlines for his strong performances this year in the NFL after he made a comeback at 39-years-old as a late pick for the Browns after injury to regular quarterback Deshaun Watson.
St. Patrick’s Athletic Chairman Garrett Kelleher on the announcement spoke to St. Patrick’s Athletic media team.
"We are pleased to welcome Kenosis Sports Group including Joe Flacco, Chad Greenway, Matt Birk and Anders Lee, amongst others, as strategic investors in St Patrick's Athletic.
Joe, Chad, Matt, and Anders have had decorated careers in the NFL and NHL and have a keen interest in football.
We have been working with KSG, a subsidiary of Kenosis Capital, in setting our upcoming game versus Minnesota United on March 20th and believe this is the first step in St Patrick's Athletics’ expansion into the US."
St Patrick's Athletic will face Minnesota United on Wednesday March 20th at Allianz Field, Saint Paul, MN, this history making event will be the first time a League of Ireland club has played an MLS club in the United States in season.
Elsewhere, Ireland were drawn in a tough group for the Euro 2025 draw on Tuesday.
