LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Crumlin United see off Tolka Rovers as St Mochta’s edge past Liffey Wanderers
Crumlin United nudged themselves closer towards the title contenders on Sunday afternoon with a comprehensive 5-2 victory against Tolka Rovers.
The Dublin 8 side have rallied in recent weeks and are now just nine points behind league leaders Lucan United with a game in hand.
Former Wexford and Bray Wanderers attacker Ger Shortt inspired them to the three points against Tolka with a hat-trick.
His exploits were aided by the contributions of Aidan Friel and ex-Cabinteely winger Paul Fox - who both netted.
Tyrick Reilly and Phillip Gannon both scored for Tolka Rovers.

Mochta’s are just a point behind Lucan but have played a game more than their title rivals.
