LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Malahide United move into top-five with narrow win over Kilbarrack United
Malahide United moved into fifth place thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory over North Dublin rivals Kilbarrack United on Friday night.
Kevin Craven’s side are unbeaten in their last five games and have now won two games on the spin as a result of their latest success.
Prior to Friday’s success, they swatted aside the challenge of Killester-Donnycarney 5-0 away from home - with Yuri Castro scoring a hat-trick.
And Castro was on the scoresheet again to seal the deal.
Kilbarrack remain in fourth spot but are just two points ahead of Malahide having played three games more than them.
Meanwhile, Bluebell United’s unbeaten run extended to six games as they drew 0-0 with league leaders Lucan United. Aaron Brazil caught the eye for the Bell.
Elsewhere, Home Farm have parted ways with their boss John Hand.
The Whitehall side are bottom of the table but are just three points behind eighth-placed Wayside Celtic in a congested league.
Their home clash against Liffey Wanderers due to take place last Friday was postponed.
