League of Ireland announces fixture changes for new season
The League of Ireland has announced several fixture changes across both men’s and women’s divisions as the new season approaches.
For the Premier Division, the clash between Dundalk and Drogheda United at Oriel Park, initially set for 5 pm on Monday, 1 April 2024, will now kick off at 1 pm on the same day.
The return fixture at Weavers Park, also slated for a 5 pm start on Monday, 6 May 2024, has been moved to 1 pm.
The SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division sees alterations with Wexford’s home games against Cork City and Longford Town.
Both fixtures, originally scheduled for 5 pm starts, have been brought forward to 3 pm at Ferrycarrig Park.
The Cork City game is on Monday, 1 April 2024, and the Longford Town match is on Monday, 3 June 2024.
For the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, Shamrock Rovers and Cork City have adjusted their home match times for the 2024 season.
Shamrock Rovers’ home fixtures will now start at 4 pm, moved from the previous 5:30 pm slot.
However, their final home game against Shelbourne will retain its 5pm kickoff time.
Cork City’s home games, previously beginning at 2 pm, will now start at 5 pm.
