LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Five-star Malahide United shine as Liffey Wanderers return to winning ways
Malahide United turned in a five-star display to dismantle Killester-Donnycarney on Sunday afternoon at Hadden Park.
Kevin Craven’s men had not played a league game since November before their outing against Killester - and they more than made up for it with a scintillating performance.
And crucially, they have risen to sixth in the table with 13 points on the board from nine games.
Yuri Castro netted a hat-trick for the North Dubliners while former Drogheda United defender Kevin Farragher also got in on the act.
Dara Ellison also struck to complete the rout.

Killester Donnycarney 0-5 @MalahideUtdAFC. Very bad day at the office for our Senior Sunday men. Well deserved result for Malahide and best of luck to them for the rest of the season. #KDFC#lsllivescore@LSLLeague@AlQuinn2015pic.twitter.com/fk6bnFVWfv
Meanwhile, Liffey Wanderers snapped a three-game losing streak with a convincing 3-0 win over Bangor Celtic.
Lasha Baramidze, former Wexford star Liam Donnelly and Sean McLean all netted for the Ringsend outfit.
They have since moved to 12th in the table and are now two points clear of rock-bottom Home Farm.

Home Farm, meanwhile, held Kilbarrack United to a scoreless draw on Friday night.
Elsewhere, Bluebell United and St Francis played out an entertaining 2-2 draw last Wednesday.
The John Hyland Park side were on course for victory when Janabi Amour scored a brace against the Bell.
But goals from striker Josh Doyle and Nathan Benson salvaged a point for Bluebell to extend their five-match unbeaten run.
“It was a very entertaining game,” Bluebell management duo Mick McLoughlin and William Nicholson said.
“There was end to end football and lots of chances for both teams.
“We were delighted to go ahead early in the game through Nathan Benson but fair play to St Francis as they levelled and then went out 2-1 in front.
“But our lads showed immense character to rescue us a vital point away from home.”
